RISE Baseball has announced plans to build a $2.3 million, 30,000 square foot indoor center on land purchased in Chesterfield County at East Boundary Court and Old Hundred Road. Byron Holmes of Porter Realty Company brokered the sale of the land.
The new facility will featured a full-size infield, 14 batting cages, clay pitching mounds, a gym and cafe. RISE Baseball currently operates out of a 6,000 square foot facility in the Oak Lake Business Park. Click here to read the full story.
Roslyn Farm Corp. has purchased 203 acres at Rives Road in Prince George County from Richard E. Holland Jr. Properties LLC for $2.2 million.

Rocstone Warehouse 17 LLC has purchased the 45,000 SF office/warehouse facility at 2200 Lanier Lane in Goochland County from Lanier Lane Realty LLC for $3,050,000. Porter Realty’s Kevin Cox represented the buyer in the acquisition and will also be marketing the property for lease. The Rockville, VA facility features heavy sprinkler and power systems, dock and drive-in access, and a fenced storage yard. The property was most recently occupied by Specialty Beverage VA, who relocated to a larger facility in eastern Henrico County. Click here for the announcement in Virginia Business.
Published in Richmond Biz Sense: As buyers continue to snatch up derelict properties along Brookland Park Boulevard, a real estate player in the Northside neighborhood is taking the lead on investing in another nearby street. Kyle H. Johnston, the owner of Richmond-based Hampton Nash, acquired two buildings at 2914-2916 North Ave. Hampton Nash renovates historic residential and small commercial structures across the city, including the Brookland Park neighborhood.
Wilson Flohr, a broker with Richmond-based Porter Realty who represented Johnston in the North Avenue deal, will lease out the space after renovations.
The Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) presented its real estate awards for 2017 area projects and transactions, and named the lease of Building E at the Airport Distribution Center as the year’s best industrial lease. Premier Store Fixtures will be the sole occupant of Building E, a 216,000 square-foot, 32′ clear building featuring LED lighting, ESFR sprinkler system and 7″ unreinforced concrete slab, developed and built by Becknell Industrial. The facility was completed in the 4th quarter of 2016. Cliff Porter is the exclusive agent for Becknell’s sites in the East End park.
